While I literally just started watching Mad Men (darn you Netflix for holding out and keeping me waiting for so long), I already have an appreciation for the costumes. (But certainly not for the misogynistic treatment of women. "Why don't you go home and put rollers in your hair" What the what? My, how far we've come. Hillary would punch someone in the throat for such a comment.)

Well, if you have read any fashion magazines or checked out Vanity Fair at any point over the past few years, you'd know that I'm not the only one who has taken a fancy to said clothing. In fact, my favorite store has a Mad Men line and they are celebrating it on Wednesday. Oh how I wish I had an excuse to be in Northern VA (aka NOVA) for this shindig. Alas, I don't.

In the meantime, let me show you two of the outfits I can totally see being back-to-work appropriate for yours truly. (But if you know me, you know I won't buy them unless they are on clearance there. And they aren't.)

I'm not sure my fair complexion could pull off the yellow, but isn't this a super cute outfit?

Everyone knows the best part about going back to school is the back-to-school shopping. I'll tell you a secret: it's why I teach.

OK, not really, but it is a perk.
